Getting Started

Is Goldstone Psychiatry currently accepting new patients?

Yes. We are now accepting new patients for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, telepsychiatry, and neuromodulation evaluations. Our interventional suite (TMS, Spravato/ketamine therapy) is coming soon. Book an evaluation now and your plan will be ready when those services launch.

Most patients don’t need a referral. If your insurance plan requires one, contact our office before booking and we’ll help you confirm what’s needed.

You can book directly online through our scheduling portal, send a query through our contact form, or call us at (832) 637-6403. We also accept provider referrals — use the Refer a Patient form if you’re a provider.

Your initial evaluation is typically 60 minutes. We’ll review your current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, prior treatments, sleep and energy patterns, and your goals for care. You’ll leave with a clear picture and a personalized plan — not just a prescription.

Insurance & Fees

What insurance do you accept?

We currently accept Medicare and commercial insurance providers — our participation status is updated on the Insurance & Payment Options page as new contracts are finalized. If your plan isn’t listed yet, contact us to discuss out-of-network superbills or private-pay options.

Yes. Some patients prefer private pay to avoid prior authorizations, deductibles, and coverage limitations. Private-pay patients receive clear fee information upfront and may request a Good Faith Estimate per the No Surprises Act. Patients who pay out of pocket may also request that the visit not be disclosed to their health plan for payment purposes.

Our current fees are: Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (60 min) — $500 · Follow-Up Management Visit (30 min) — $300 · Brief Check-In (15 min) — $150 · Neuromodulation Evaluation (60 min) — $500 · Forms and Letters — starting at $50. Payment is collected at the time of service.

We accept credit and debit cards, cash, check, Zelle, and bank transfer. A valid card is kept securely on file through our HIPAA-compliant practice management system.

We understand that life doesn’t always go as planned. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so we can offer that time to another patient in need. Late cancellations and missed appointments are subject to a cancellation fee — $100 for new patient appointments and $50 for follow-up visits. Telehealth

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Secure telepsychiatry is available to patients throughout Texas — including patients in The Woodlands, Houston, Spring, Conroe, Sugar Land, Katy, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and anywhere else in the state.

For most services — evaluations, medication management, second opinions, follow-ups — yes. Research and clinical experience support this. Some situations call for in-person care, and we’ll tell you when that’s the case.

Yes, including most psychiatric medications. Certain controlled substances may require an in-person visit under federal and Texas guidelines.

That’s exactly what our Treatment-Resistant Depression Consultation is designed for. We take a careful look at what’s been tried, what may have been missed, and what options — including advanced treatments like TMS, Spravato/Ketamine— may be right for you.

Yes. We can take over ongoing medication management and build from where prior care left off. Bringing previous records, notes, and a medication history helps us get started efficiently.

TMS, Spravato & Ketamine

When will TMS, Spravato, and ketamine therapy be available?

These services are launching in the months ahead. The best way to stay informed is to book an evaluation now — your clinical history will be in place and you’ll be ready to start treatment the moment we launch.

No. Starting standard psychiatric care now is almost always the right move. Optimizing your diagnosis and current treatment plan means you have a stronger foundation when advanced treatments become available — and many patients find more relief from that process than they expected.

Standard TMS is covered by most major commercial insurance plans and Medicare for qualifying patients with major depressive disorder, when prior medication trials have been inadequate. Accelerated protocols vary. We verify your specific benefits and handle prior authorization for you.

Spravato is often covered by commercial insurance and Medicare for treatment-resistant depression when medical-necessity criteria are met. We manage the verification and authorization process on your behalf.

Spravato is FDA-approved esketamine given as a nasal spray under clinical monitoring. Ketamine therapy uses racemic ketamine through various routes (intranasal, IV, IM, etc.) and is generally considered off-label for psychiatric conditions. Both work through the glutamate pathway. Privacy & Practical

Is my care confidential?

Yes. All care is protected by HIPAA. We do not share your information with employers, licensing boards, or any third party without your written consent — except in narrow circumstances required by law.
